After downloading, run DataOS-Setup-1.0.0.exe and follow the wizard. The installer has passed clean-machine installation acceptance and security scanning.

Install guide: ① Download the APK with your browser; ② If prompted that installs from unknown sources are blocked, follow the prompt to allow installs for this browser only; ③ Return and finish installing. No need to disable your phone's global security protection.
The macOS and iOS apps are standalone clients just like the Android app (no Windows PC required). They are in development; downloads will appear on this page as soon as they ship. We never ship placeholder buttons without real functionality.

Installation needs about 1 GB of disk space; first run guides you through adding data sources and building the local index. On uninstall you can keep or delete user data — your original media files are never deleted by uninstalling, under any circumstances.
